Nearly half of affluent American millenials say they don’t envision themselves owning a car, according to a YouGov report. The study points to changing attitudes toward car ownership and mobility in general, coupled with a greater interest in alternatives like car sharing. PVMI director John Paul MacDuffie is not surprised.
“[Millennials] are forever going to be more on the pragmatic car-as-commodity, car-as-appliance part of the equation,” he says.
